In theory, the idea of simply brushing white veneer onto your teeth to make them dazzle is fantastic, but the question is, how does it stand up in practice? 

Our editor, Jess Markwood decided to put the new Pearl Drops Instant White Ultra to the test. Read on to find out her verdict.

Just like all my friends, I like the occasional glass of red wine and that wake-up coffee in the morning, but over the last few years I’ve noticed my teeth aren’t as white as I’d like them to be. Cue Pearl Drops’ latest product.

‘Dry teeth with a tissue and apply the white liquid to your teeth with the fine brush applicator’ says the instructions. Simple. The few seconds I’m told to wait before I can stop grinning like a Cheshire Cat seem to drag, but eventually, when it’s time, I lick my lips and tentatively touch my teeth with my finger.  

I’m surprised to discover that in fact the veneer is already dry, as promised.

I inspect my teeth more closely than I’ve probably ever looked at them before and I can instantly tell the difference. They do appear whiter!

The next question is; does it last the night? Yes is does and in fact I had a go at applying it in the morning too to see how the veneer would fair throughout the day, and again, Pearl Drops passed the test.
