Emma Watson hasn't always been the style icon that fashion magazines dote upon. When she first appeared on the big screen in the first part of the Harry Potter films (Harry Potter and the Philsopher's Stone), she was more cute than cool aged just nine. Walking the red carpet at the premiere a year or so later, Emma choose to accessorise her grey dress with a purple feather boa! Definitely directional! By fourteen though she had hit her fashion stride. At the New York premiere of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the young actress went demure in a strapless stone-hued frock. Voila! A fashion icon was born. The following year she posed for her first magazine cover, showcasing that classic British style we've all grown to love. From then on, Emma has been everywhere - popping up on billboards as the face of Lancome, modeling for Burberry or sporting yet another pair of bespoke Alexander McQueen pumps on the red carpet. Emma has remained down to earth though. Just like most British girls, her style is effortlessly edgy but never fussy. Her wardrobe is brimming with Topshop, she prefers a good pair of pumps over a killer heel and doesn't really do trends. Our favourite English rose.
