Ever since Kate Middleton became engaged to Prince William in November 2010, she's barely left our style radar! In the early days, Kates outfit choices were often safe and conservative, however, after wearing a Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen wedding dress in April 2011, we've seen more of her elegant yet edgy side. The Duchess of Cambridge flies the flag for British designers wherever she goes - self-styled, she has a natural ability to mix high street favourites (Zara, LK Bennett, Whistles, Reiss and Hobbs) with fashion-forward, high-end pieces (Alice Temperly, Issa, and more McQueen) flawlessly. Just like the trademark glossy hair and gorgeous skin, good looks run in the Middleton family genes - her younger sister, Pippa Middleton, became one of the world's most closely watched women since the Royal Wedding and we've no doubt that the royal baby will take after his Mum too! Last year alone, 'The Kate Effect' (aka the buying frenzy that takes place as soon as she leaves the house) apparently contributed £1billion to the British economy. She may be a Duchess, but when it comes to fashion, Kate is Britain's Queen.
