A Wear is a one-stop shop for all the latest trends, boutique brands and accessories at budget-friendly prices. We love their fun and fashionable pieces, and so do plenty of celebs! We've seen Frankie from The Saturdays in one of their tops and Danielle Jonas in their jeans. Their day dresses are comfortable and fashionable, and have worked their ways into our wardrobes on several occasions. They also get new stock in three times a week, which means we never get bored of what they have in. They've also got a section on the website for creating your own outfit, so you can see if all the bits in your shopping basket actually go together. Funnily enough, this only makes us shop more, rather than less...

Our favourite fact about the store is the origins of its name - Victoria Bage, who started the company, had discovered her husband was having an affair with his secretary. She therefore named the store after the secretary, Sarah Coggles, as a constant reminder for him, then sent him the divorce papers. That's one kick-ass woman! Other celebrity fans of the brand include Sophia Bush from One Tree Hill, which goes to show that the brand has fans on both sides of the world. With 40 stores and growing, Jigsaw appeals particularly well for those that like a bit of grown up glamour for work. The interesting thing about Jigsaw, is that their stores are designed to suit their surroundings, rather than looking exactly the same as each other. So if the surrounding high street has an older architecture, Jigsaw will aim to match that rather than build something far too modern that would look out of place. therefore the emphasis is on great customer service and the fashion, rather than the actual store.

Laura Ashley
Laura Ashley has had something of a resurgence in the last few years, thanks to a passion for their retro prints, romantic florals, big cosy furniture, affordable homewares and classic English style (although Laura Ashley herself was actually Welsh). With a newly launched range for girls, Laura Ashley continues to grow and stay steady on the high street. In fact, they were one of the first brands to really make maxi dresses big, and when the trend returned a few years ago they inspired many of the trends that currently hit the high street. Their furniture, in particular their large patterned armchairs, are still in high demand. The brand is very much a family affair, with all five of Laura's children going into the business after her death in 1985 at the age of 60. Thanks to this family business, it's been described as the ultimate cottage industry. A UK institution.

They started back in 1991 as Global Village, and has gone on to win the The Observer Ethical Awards for Fashion, the Cosmopolitan Best Ethical E-tailer Award and Social Entrepreneur of the Year in the Edge Upstart Awards in Britain, and the founder of People Tree (Safia Minney) was awarded an MBE in 2009 for her services to fashion. People Tree designs garments to be produced by hand as much as possible, so our products have small carbon-footprints too.

Phase Eight
Phase Eight is a fashion houses designed for women to find something for every occasion – whether it's a dressed up event or a dressed down weekend. While they take some inspiration from fashion, the majority of Phase Eight garments are classic, colourful and feminine. Chances are, you're most likely to come across Phase Eight in Debenhams, House of Fraser or John Lewis where it dominates a large section of the womenswear area. In fact, in 2010, Phase Eight were the top performing brand by density in all three of our main host stores - House of Fraser, Debenhams and John Lewis. Phase Eight was launched in 1979 by Patsy Seddon, who yearned for affordable, well made clothing that suited a more sophisticated taste. If you're looking for great service, it's worth popping into one of their standalone stores, where their loyal staff (many have been loyal for a number of years) will be able to help you find the most suitable outfit for your needs.

Radley
Founded in 1998 by Lowell Harder, handbag brand Radley is instantly recognisable, thanks to the scottie dog scampering across the leather handbags, purses and other accessories. Radley creates great quality leather goods with a quirky edge – without overdoing the cuteness. In fact, the brand claims to represent Britain's eccentricity! Radley is often found in department stores, although there are a few stores across the UK. Celebrity fans of the brand include Vanessa Abrams and Jessica Szohr. While Radley has always sat quite steadily in the middle market, its recent bags have hinted towards a younger, more fashion conscious market. They're still fun (and more designers could learn from Radley's sense of fun and humour) but they've now added a spot of patent on some bags for a more modern look, and collaborated with V&A too for an art-inspired range. Radley is becoming a cult brand with a strong following - and we can see why.

Sweaty Betty
SweatyBetty is a fashion brand for active women who prefer yoga, pilates and swimming to a day at the shops. The workout range is simple, but feminine and comfortable. So it's out with the baggy t-shirts and shorts, and in with leggings and active jumpsuits. Celebrity fans include Elle Macpherson, Davina McCall and Nigella Lawson. The great thing about SweatyBetty is that they don't try to trade off style for sport. They understand that when you hit the gym or studio, you still want to look good (especially if your gym has mirrors EVERYWHERE.) They also don't fall into the trap of a lot of other designers. They create outfits for women, instead of adapting outfits for men or creating something teeny tiny that gives very little support. The biggest reason we love SweatyBetty though? They say on their website "we still believe in healthy living, having fun and Cornish clotted cream." That's a team after our own hearts.

The Body Shop
The Body Shop sold natural, eco-friendly and ethical beauty and health products long before it became fashionable to do so. So, not only will products from The Body Shop give you amazing, beautifully smelling skin, but you'll be doing the environment and the people producing the product a favour to by buying ethically. Plus, their products are cruelty-free, as they're not tested on animals. In a funny way, we also have The Body Shop to thank for an altogether different shop - the adult lady-friendly store Coco De Mer. Dame Anita Roddick, founder of The Body Shop, is mother to Sam Roddick who started Coco De Mer. Another surprising fact is that The Body Shop was bought by L'Oreal back in 2006. After her sad death in 2007, Prime Minister Gordon Brown commented "She campaigned for green issues for many years before it became fashionable to do so and inspired millions to the cause by bringing sustainable products to a mass market. She will be remembered not only as a great campaigner but also as a great entrepreneur."

White Stuff
White Stuff claims they're “bringing happy back”, which is a rather lovely slogan, don't you think? In fact, White Stuff is packed full of rather lovely stuff. They're all about colour, without looking like your kids, and avoid black at all times because "It doesn’t make us happy". Founded back in 1985, the team behind the brand originally start as a duo selling 'Boys from the White Stuff' t-shirts to fund their skiing. From there it grew, and now White Stuff sells dreamy, comfortable clothing for men, women and children, perfect for chilling out in. It's the kind of dresses, trousers, tops, accessories and shoes that are ideal for lazy Sundays when the last thing you want to do is get dolled up to the nines. Oh, and these guys know how to do Christmas jumpers. Frankly, they make us want to rent a ski cabin and buy half their catalogue for an afternoon in front of the fire with friends.

Wolford
Wolford is as luxurious as tights get. Cheryl Cole famously wore a pair on the set of X Factor, and Jessie J is a known fan of the brand too. Other celeb fans of the brand include Lindsey Lohan, Victoria Beckham, Kiera Knightly, Sarah Jessica Parker, Claudia Schiffer, Emma Watson and Zooey Deschanel among many, many others. While the tights, stockings and hold ups are easily the most famous aspect of the brand, Wolford also does lingerie, accessories and socks for men. Remember a decade ago when tights were uncool? Wolford was one of the driving forces behind turning that reputation around, and making tights a fashion accessory rather than something to keep your pins warm. We're a big fan of spending more on your undergarments. Hell, your skin deserves it, and there's no point wearing gorgeous dresses and outfits if the clothes you wear underneath are cheap and cheerful.

Zadig and Voltare
Designed by Frenchman Thierry Gillier, who used to work for Yves Saint Laurent, Zadig & Voltaire is a relaxed clothing brand with a bit of a tough edge. He launched it in 1997, and took on model Cecilia Bonstrom in 2003, who he later promoted to Artistic Director. Cecilia designs rock n' roll pieces with a 'laid back lux' feel. It's full of leather, sturdy denim and silver and gold fabrics. There's also a sprinkling of super-soft cashmere, which clashes well with the skulls and slightly gothic feel to the other pieces. The overall look is eye-catching yet laid back. You can generally find Zadig and Voltare at online boutiques like Net-A-Porter. Celebrity fans include Alexis Blede (from the Gilmore Girls), Leighton Meester, Ashley Greene, Frankie from The Saturdays, Claudia Schiffer, Emma Watson and Lea Michele from Glee.
